Congratulations to the following students who won a Judges' Choice Award at the State Speech Contest for their Team Improv performance: Donald Barrett, Eva Adams, Josiah Goodlow, Macy Phillips, Mia Melton, and Onna McDermet
This means that the judge in their room chose their performance as their favorite for the night! This is a big honor! A certificate from the state will be delivered to these students later this morning. Again, congratulations!
FCA will be meeting in Miss Clayton‘s classroom on Friday at 7:30. Hope to see you there! Also, a reminder that tomorrow is an SIP day with early dismissal at 12:18 pm.
Good luck to the boys basketball team at home game tonight against Dunlap Valley. Games start at 4:15 pm.
Good luck to the girls basketball team playing at Spoon River Valley with games starting at 6pm.
Attention Students! Today is the Midterm for the 2nd grading period. This is a good time to remind yourselves to check on Skyward to see what missing work you might have and get it turned into your teachers.
The Peoria Rivermen Trip Reward Field Trip will be held on Thursday December 19th. On October 11th, we had a morning meeting that explained our requirements for being eligible for that trip. If you have had an in school or out of school suspension from school, you would be eliminated from the trip. If you have three or more unexcused absences for the quarter, you would be eliminated from the trip. If you have had three or more detentions issued to you this quarter, you would be eliminated from the trip. If report cards went out today, if you had any F’s, you would be eliminated. Do you have missing work? If so, this could eliminate you from the trip? Have you been “chronically absent” from school? If so, you would be eliminated from the trip. Finally, have you come to the office to borrow a charger more than 3 times? If so, you would be eliminated from the trip. Currently, we have 12 students who are eliminated from this trip. However, 28 more students are on the bubble for missing work and another 36 students are on the bubble for having an F in one of their classes. 27 students have come to the office for chargers at least one time. They are on the bubble. Good news is with the exception of the 12 students who have been eliminated already, everyone else can still make this trip! Be at school, do you work, and stay up with your grades! We will be sending permission slips home for this field trip next week. Tickets will be ordered on December 6th.
At this time, will you please rise for the pledge: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
