This week is Respect Week.Today is wear purple day! Did you know...Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder which occurs almost exclusively in girls and leads to severe impairments. Rett syndrome is caused by mutations on the X chromosome on a gene called MECP2. People with Rett syndrome show a loss of spoken language and motor skills, as well as behavioral and neurological problems. Tomorrow, wear Yellow for Spina Bifida awareness.
Also, the unified basketball game is tomorrow against Peoria Heights! You can also wear purple and gold to show your support to our Unified kids who are participating in the game at 9:30 am.
March is here, which means Pi Day is right around the corner. If you would like to be part of the Pi Day T shirt design-contest, pick up a t-shirt to design from your math teacher. There will be winners in every grade level. T-shirts need to be cut out and turned in to Mrs. Tracy by the end of the day Tuesday, March 12th.
Next Open Gym for those 8th graders interested in High School cheer will be on the 14th in Gym D from 6-7:30 pm.
Dental Services will be offered on March 18th by the Peoria County Health Department to those interested. Please return filled out forms to the office ASAP.
After school tutoring is with Mrs. McSherry and will start in the library.
