September is National Suicide Prevention Month. Another way to combat suicide and suicidal thoughts is by spending quality time with family. There are lots of activities families can do together, but what’s important is being together in an environment of trust, security, and acceptance. Closeness with family provides a sense of security and a steady source of love and support. Family members can help us solve problems and overcome adversities, and strong family relationships can provide a lifelong sense of connection and belonging. Need help connecting? Try playing a game or cooking together to spark some meaningful conversations.
The next FCA (Fellowships of Christian Athletes) meeting will be tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. in Mrs. Beoletto’s room. All students are welcome.
There was an old Chinese proverb that says “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” The meaning of this proverb is that it can be more beneficial in the long run to teach a person how to do something than to do that something for them.
At this time, will you please rise for the pledge:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Farmer Four:
