Good luck to the Baseball team as they take on Elmwood tonight at Home in the IESA Baseball Regional. First pitch is at 4:15.
There will be girls basketball tryouts for 6th-8th grade tonight from 4:30-6 in the junior high gym. Girls, since practice does not begin until 4:30, it is recommended that you leave to go home after school and come back closer to the start of practice. You cannot just wander around the hallways of the campus or play in the gym without supervision.
Attention Speechies: Speech practice will be offered after school today in Coach Beoletto's room until 4:15 pm. This week is for memorized pieces only. Please bring your script and your partner if you have one!
There will be a Unified Club meeting at 1:45 in Mrs. Cosby’s room.
Aesop, a Greek writer of fables and storyteller once wrote “Beware of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” This is a good phrase to describe something that could be an unpredicted threat or something that seems helpful, but is actually harmful. In one of Aesop’s fables, the wolf disguises itself as a sheep so he can get access to them for food. The wolf gets penned in with the sheep and the shepherd decides to choose a sheep to have for dinner. The sheep that the shepherd picked was actually a wolf. For us, we need to watch out for those peers who are being super nice, but may be causing problems behind your back. You don’t need that toxicity in your life.
At this time, will you please rise for the pledge:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
