Congratulations to the Cheer Team. Yesterday at the IESA State Meet, the girls placed 6th place out of 12 teams in Small Cheer. In Small Routine, against 36 other teams all from the state of Illinois, the girls placed fifth. Great job ladies. You did a great job representing our school and community.
Good luck to the volleyball team as they head to Kewanee tonight for games beginning at 4:30.
Also good luck to our scholastic bowl team as they take on Elmwood at home tonight. Their match begins at 3:45.
Tomorrow we will have a 12:15 Early Dismissal tomorrow as it is an SIP day. There is no school next Monday for Presidents Day.
This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week. We will be celebrating with daily challenges, activities during homeroom, and by handing out random acts of kindness all week. Be on the lookout for ways you can show kindness to yourself, your classmates, your school, and your community!
For today's activity we will be writing compliments and kind words to as many classmates as possible. Remember to continue nominating your kind classmates to win a prize by filling out kindness slips all week. The following students have been caught being kind:
Addison Hippen, Ian Winner, Brayden Hunter, Noah Fleming, Mason Green, and Tyson Marvel. If your name was just called, please see Mrs. White by the end of the day to choose your prizes.
FCA will be this Friday in Ms. Clayton’s room this Friday at 7:30. All are welcome to join!
At this time, will you please rise for the pledge:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
I am respectful
I am responsible
I am safe
I am prepared
Today is National Almond Day. I was just thinking of going on an all-almond diet, but that’s just nuts.
