🍩 Donut Day Reflections 🍩
Today was all about learning from the past and looking ahead. Students took time to reflect on the choices, habits, and moments they're ready to leave behind. They had a lot they 'donut' want to repeat.
We heard things like:
"I donut want to procrastinate again in high school."
"I donut want to wait and let my work pile up."
"I donut want to be scared to speak up about something that bothers me."
"I donut want to almost fail a class."
"I donut want to get too many tardies and get a detention again."
"I donut want to 'presentate'..." (yes, the students have created their own word.).
"I donut want to wear skinny jeans again."
Overall there was honesty, growth and even a little humor mixed in, and that is what the day is all about . Thank you to our students for being real and willing to grow and to Mrs. Perardi for organizing Donut Day!

Looks like Kirk found a loophole in the rules!

Today, students are putting their guessing (and math!) skills to the test by trying to figure out exactly how many pieces of candy are in the jar!
Some have taken this very seriously by using estimation strategies and calculations to get as close as possible. Shoutout to Mr. Otto for modeling the jar so everyone could get a better idea of its size before making their guesses.
Now we want to hear from YOU....what's your guess??
Stay tuned to see who comes the closest!

No School- Thursday, April 2nd, Friday, April 3rd and Monday, April 6th.
Enjoy!

Not only did our students put their skills to work on a real-world project, but their hard work also paid off...literally. These 5 custom-built tables raised $1,000 for the G &C class!
We are so proud of the craftsmanship and community spirit shown by these students. Huge thanks to the Knox County Fairgrounds for the partnership and to everyone who supported this project!

At the closure of the assembly, we had a special announcement from senior Zach Rassi, who announced our winners of the Wild Wild Respect Week poster contest:
3rd Place: Mr. Dubre's Farmer Time
2nd Place: Miss Miller's Farmer Time
1st Place: Ms. Mosley's Farmer Time
Our students embodied the message of acceptance and inclusion today, and we could not be more proud of them for being the one!

Our students had an incredible day at the ICC Healthcare Field Trip on March 5th! 🩺 15 of our students joined Mrs. White for a day of hands-on learning, diving deep into the essential skills that drive the medical field.
From clinical techniques to patient care, these students jumped right in and showed off their passion for medicine. Even better? They represented Farmington with top-tier respect and professionalism, making us proud every step of the way!
Check out these snapshots of our future nurses, doctors, and specialists in training!

We are so incredibly proud of your achievements! 🌟 This was such a hit that we hope to make it a new school tradition.
Keep up the amazing work, everyone, we can’t wait to see who joins us for the next scoop! 🥄✨
