  • Congratulations to Senior of the month- Sam Gronewold. Sam is involved in Football, Basketball, Baseball, and National Honor Society. He enjoys the outdoors where he likes to hunt and fish. In fact, the North American Whitetail wrote an article about him regarding a deer he got and was granted in the Boone and Crockett record book. Sam also enjoys playing sports with friends and going to the gym. Sam has worked very hard during this time in high school with his academics and has accomplished his goal of being valedictorian. He has been accepted into Clemson University where he will study Engineering. Congratulations, Sam!

  • Congratulations to Junior of the month- Keauntrey Barnes. Keauntrey is involved in Football and Basketball. His outstanding basketball skills and techniques earned him a spot on the Macomb Holiday All-Star Tournament team and the local news published an article about him. He plans on attending college and playing college basketball. Congratulations, Keauntrey!

  • Congratulations to Sophomore of the month- Austin Perdue. Austin is involved in Football and is a part of Diversity Club. He enjoys spending time outdoors and is skilled in woodworking. Austin plans on joining the military after high school, but also has interests in the trades. Congratulations, Austin!

  • Congratulations to Freshman of the month- Calvin Thompson. Calvin is involved in Scholastic Bowl and Game Club. He enjoys camping, fishing, and programming. Calvin has big ambitions regarding his academics and has received straight A’s this school year. He plans on attending college and is interested in majoring in Software Engineering. Congratulations, Calvin!

  • Congratulations to Staff Member of the Month- Mrs. Burklund. Mrs. Paige Burklund is in her 8th year here at Farmington Central High School. She enjoys working alongside the student body to push past societal expectations and bring light to subconscious wounds. Mrs. B.'s classroom is open to all who wish to share their life experiences with authenticity and positivity. Her intersectionalities as a teacher, mother, wife, daughter, and friend are some of the things that she shares with the world on a daily basis. Her dream is to help heal our community and raise the vibrational frequencies that we project out to the rest of the world. Congratulations, Mrs. Burklund!

  • Sophomores, please report to the auditorium TOMORROW, February 2nd during 4th hour for your course registration meeting.

  • Freshman, please report to the auditorium on Tuesday, February 7th during 4th hour for your course registration meeting.

  • There is a Key Club meeting this Thursday at 7:30 am in the art room. If you can't make it, stop by to check with Mrs. Simaytis to see what was discussed.

  • Junior class officers and prom committee members, please check Google Classroom for details regarding the next prom meeting.

  • Spoon River College will be giving a presentation on February 8th during 4th hour in the auditorium.

  • ICC will be in the cafeteria on February 9th during lunch.

  • Game Club will meet TOMORROW after school this week.  

  • Yearbook staff will meet in Mr. Paul's room during 4th hour on Friday.
