Meghan Snyder was selected as March’s Senior of the Month. Meghan has been in the drama department in the past for “Shrek The Musical” and did a fantastic job! She is also an active member in the choir. She loves to sing, dance, and listen to music. She also enjoys eating Pop Tarts and spending her free time taking naps. In addition, Meghan loves her family, friends, school, and her dog Melo. She always has a smile on her face, and Farmington wouldn’t be Farmington without her! Congratulations, Meghan!
Congratulations to Ms. Mendez for being February Staff Member of the Month. She graduated from Monmouth College and J.S Morton West High School. She is originally from Berwyn, Illinois and now lives in Farmington. She spends her free time coaching track, eating ice cream and watching Harry Potter. Congratulations Ms. Mendez!
March is Theatre in our Schools Month! Be on the lookout for fun things from your Drama Department. Fun Fact: Phantom of the Opera is the longest running show on Broadway, being staged over 11,400 times since it opened in 1988.
Boys and girls mandatory track practices for all events officially begin Monday March 4th. Boys meet in Coach Hardesty's room & Girls meet in Coach Mendez room by 3:20 on Monday.
Wanting to play Omnikin Volleyball against the classes? Come join us April 16th at 6 o’clock for Alz in for Alzheimer’s. You can sign up for your classes team in the office, teams will be 8-10 players from each grade and the winner will get a chance to play a team of our own teachers! You can get a shirt order form in the office and the research center. Any questions please contact Abby Simpson.
Harvest team member Mackenzie Schaer will be hosting a teddy bear drive for Alzheimer’s patients throughout the month of March. Patients suffering from this disease often feel lost, scared and uncomfortable. Having a teddy bear or doll can be a very effective way to reduce stress and agitation as well as increase their overall state of mind. Please consider donating a new stuffed animal to this cause!! Boxes will be set up in the school for drop off. Thank you!!
FCHS Book club will be meeting at 3:30 TODAY in Miss Burdess' room to discuss their reading of the book Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. Students, teachers, and snacks are all welcome. Next month's book club book will be Circe by Madeline Miller. To request a copy, see Miss Burdess or join in this afternoon at 3:30.
Come on out for a fun Friday night Dodgeball tournament on April 5th and help support our staff and student St. Jude runners!! Get your teams together and grab a sign up sheet in the office. Signups need to be turned into the office by March 13th. Contact Bailey Kennelly if you have any questions.
