Morning Announcements 2.4.2019

Bulletin – February 4, 2019             

         7:30  Varsity Girls Basketball Regionals vs. Peoria Christian H.S. @ Deer Creek-Mackinaw H.S.  

                                    

  • Trey Benitez was selected as February’s Senior of the Month. Trey is a strong academic student as he is in the top 20 percent of his class and was a candidate for the National Honor Society. He works well with his peers and is compassionate and supportive to those around him. He is a quiet and reserved young man but takes charge confidently. Trey was also a member of the football team his four years at Farmington.  He will attend the University of Illinois in the fall where he plans to major in Computer Engineering. Congratulations, Trey! Please see Mrs. Clope by the end of the day.

 

  • SENIORS: There will be a MANDATORY scholarship meeting in the auditorium on Thursday, February 7th during Enrichment. The Farmington Central Academic Foundation will be here to present information. All Seniors are required to attend.

 

  • Just a reminder to those attending After Prom.  ALL After Prom Consent Forms are due to Mr. Lambert or Mrs. Gibbs no later than Friday, February 8th at 3PM. in order to qualify for a large prize.

 

  • Club photos will be taken Tuesday morning.

 

  • Game club will meet Tuesday this week.

 

  • On Saturday, February 9th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Art club will be hosting a Neon night! Put on your best 80's outfit and come dance the night away! Tickets will be for sale starting next week during lunch. The cost is $12 for one and $20 for two. Contact Mrs. Simaytis for any questions. Also don't forget, if you bring donations for the Crittenton Center you will receive 3 dollars off your ticket purchase.

 

  • Do you have an extra prom dress or accessories you need to get rid of? Bring them to Miss Burdess' room any day next week to donate them to Peoria Dream Center's PROMise of Hope event. The Dream Center provides dresses and accessories for students in Peoria County who can't afford to buy them.

 

  • There will be a meeting for all seniors interested in participating in the Work Based Learning program next school year TOMORROW, February 5th during Enrichment.

 

  • For those helping in the elementary for art club this morning, please report to Mrs. S' room after announcements.
