Farmington is a Unified Champion School through Special Olympics, meaning that we are committing to build an environment of inclusivity. Unified Champion Schools "are school climates where students with disabilities feel welcome and are routinely included in, and feel a part of, all activities, opportunities and functions."
As part of this, Life Skills Classes and our Unified P.E class will be hosting RESPECT week this week. Each day we will highlight a different disability, and we ask everyone to wear the color that represents that disability. Below are the disabilities and the color for each disability.
TODAY: Muscular Dystrophy - Green
Thursday: Epilepsy - Purple
Friday: Autism - Blue
On Friday we will have a banner signing during the lunch hours. Students will have to recite the pledge before being able to sign the banner.
