Chris Tucker was selected as March’s Senior of the Month. Chris is a strong academic student as he is in the top 25% of his class and a member of our National Honor Society chapter. Along with his studies, Chris was a member of the Math Team, ACES, and FFA. In addition to his involvement in school, Chris finds time to give back as he volunteers within the community. In his previous hometown of Henry, he helped put up and take down flags for multiple years for the Veterans Day Walk. Additionally, Chris organized and sorted costumes and play props at the River Valley Players warehouse. He plans to attend Southern Illinois University-Carbondale next year where he will major in Aviation Technologies. Congratulations and good luck, Chris!
Congratulations to Freshman of the month- Meaghan Carpenter. Meaghan is involved in Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Student Council, and Harvest Team. Meaghan enjoys playing travel softball and hanging out with friends. Meaghan plans to attend a community college and hopes to participate in college softball. Congratulations, Meaghan!
Congratulations to Sophomore of the month- Hunter Darsham. Hunter is involved in Basketball, Track, and FFA. He enjoys camping, fishing, and driving around with his friends. Hunter plans on attending college and majoring as a lawyer. Congratulations, Hunter!
Congratulations to Junior of the Month- Kristiaan Scalf. Kristaan is involved in Game Club and occasionally manages online gaming tournaments. He specializes in creating and maintaining Google Sheets used to share information with players. He also spends his time reading novels and hanging out with his family and dog. Kristaan plans to attend college and study finance. Congratulations, Kristaan.
Ms. Mendez was selected as March Staff Member of the Month! This is Ms. Mendez's fourth year at Farmington. Originally from Berwyn, Ms. Mendez graduated from Monmouth College. She now lives in Farmington with her cats Pollo and Queso. She spends her free time coaching, eating ice cream, and watching Netflix with her cats. Congratulations, Ms. Mendez!

We are organizing a fan bus, the cost is $5.00. The bus will leave at 4:45 (masks required). If we have enough people sign up in the office by 10 AM this morning, we will take the fan bus. Remember you must purchase your tickets ahead of time online.

Farmington is a Unified Champion School through Special Olympics, meaning that we are committing to build an environment of inclusivity. Unified Champion Schools "are school climates where students with disabilities feel welcome and are routinely included in, and feel a part of, all activities, opportunities and functions."
As part of this, Life Skills Classes and our Unified P.E class will be hosting RESPECT week this week. Each day we will highlight a different disability, and we ask everyone to wear the color that represents that disability. Below are the disabilities and the color for each disability.

On Friday we will have a banner signing during the lunch hours. Students will have to recite the pledge before being able to sign the banner.
