Delaney Foster was selected as February’s Senior of the Month. Delaney is a strong academic student as she is in the top 10 of her class and is a member of our National Honor Society chapter. Along with her studies, Delaney is involved in various extracurricular activities which include: Basketball, Softball, Harvest Leadership Team, and Athletic Leadership Team. In addition to her extensive involvement in school, Delaney finds time to give back as she volunteers within the community. She tutors several students in Spanish within the high school, brought Halloween spirit to young children at Wildlife Scary Park, and she also volunteered at the Special Olympics where she coached and supported the participants. Delaney will attend Illinois Central College next year where she will major in Nursing. Congratulations, Delaney!
Congratulations to the Junior Student of the Month – Michael Challacombe. Michael is involved in Football, Basketball and Chorus. Michael enjoys playing basketball with his teammates after school and listening to music. Michael plans to repair abandoned cars in barns to fix them to run again and own his own car shop different from everyone else’s car shop.
Congratulations to the Sophomore Student of the Month – Dane Hitchcock. Dane is involved in Football and Track. Dane enjoys hanging out with his friends and family. Dane plans to join the Air National Guard after high school.
Congratulations to the Freshman Student of the Month – Lily Swanson. Lily is involved in Volleyball, Track, and Harvest Team. Lily enjoys competitive swimming and staying active. Lily is interested in becoming an interior designer after high school.
Mrs. Simaytis was selected as February Staff Member of the Month! Mrs. Simaytis has taught art at Farmington for the last 5 years. She lives with her husband, Phil and their cat Frida. When Mrs. Simaytis isn't running around to all the different clubs and activities she advises, she spends her time reading, gardening, and hiking. Her favorite thing about working here is helping the students explore their creative minds along with showing them what good music is. Congratulations, Mrs. Simaytis!

Key Club is doing a toy drive! We are collecting stuffed bears for OSF Children's Hospital. It goes through this Friday, February 4th. They must be new with the tags on. Thank you for your donation!!
