Emma Evans was selected as December’s Senior of the Month. Emma is a strong academic student as she is in the top 5% of her class and is a member of our National Honor Society chapter and also an Illinois State Scholar. Along with her studies, Emma is involved in various extracurricular activities which include: Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Golf, Marching and Concert, Band, Science Olympiad, Harvest Leadership Team, Theatre, Drama Club, Student Leadership Team, Fellowship of a Christian Athlete, International Thespian Society, and Spanish Club. In addition to her extensive involvement in school, Emma finds time to give back as she volunteers within the community. She has brought joy to others as she drums, sings, and plays the piano with the worship team at Northwoods Community Church, and she also volunteered at the Special Olympic state track meet where she worked with the athletes and assisted them in participation. Emma will attend college next year where she will then decide her major while completing her general education courses. Congratulations, Emma!
Congratulations to the Junior of the Month – Josie Gibbs. Josie is involved in cheerleading and Harvest Team. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and spending time with her cat and dogs. Josie is currently undecided on her plans after high school. Congratulations, Josie!
Congratulations to the Sophomore of the Month – Berkley Burgess. Berkley recently moved to Farmington from North Dakota. Berkley enjoys hanging out with their friends and family; playing video games and going outside. Berkley plans to go to college to become a teacher. They would like to teach children English in a country in Asia. Congratulations, Berkley!
Congratulations to the Freshman of the Month – Sterling Anderson. Sterling is involved in cheerleading and track. Sterling enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Sterling plans to go to college to become a Dental Hygienist. Congratulations, Sterling!
Mr. Hoffmann was voted Staff Member of the Month for December. Mr. Hoffmann has been teaching at Farmington Central High School for three years teaching Fitness Physical Education. He attended Monmouth College, and is an assistant coach to the Farmington Varsity Football Team. He has two sons at home James (4) and Sam (1), who keep him and his wife Mrs. Hoffmann very busy. His favorite thing about Farmington is the relationships he has built with his students in his time here. Congratulations, Mr. Hoffmann!
Auditions for “Matilda the Musical” will be held December 14th and 16th in the Theatre. Audition material is available on Google Classroom. See Mr. Lambert for a paper copy.
Sophomores, Jostens will be here to deliver your class rings this Thursday, December 2nd during lunch hours. If you have not made your final payment, please bring it with you on Thursday so you can pick up your ring.
