  • Congrats to David Parr and Mr. Look for winning the FFA August meeting Cornhole Tournament. They won in a thriller, defeating Abby Cash and Laura Stevens 21-19. David and Mr. Look would like to thank everyone who's gotten them to this point, all their haters that said they couldn't, and their sponsors at Gatorade, Pepsi, and the always delicious Taco Bell.

 

  • Girls Golf has been busy for the start of the school year. FCHS lady Farmers played their first match on Aug 13 at Oak Run against Peoria High School. We had a score of 209 with the top 4 scores: Emma Evans with a 43, Ella Smith a 48, and Anna Webel and Jenna Clark each with a score of 59. FCHS won that match against Peoria High. 

 

  • FCHS lady golfers played again on Monday August 16 at Oak Run against Mercer County. The ladies scored a 208 with Emma Evans leading the way with a 38, Faith Wheeler with a 54, Ella Smith with a 56, and Jenna Clark with a 60. The girls won that match against Mercer County. The score by Emma Evans is the lowest total by any female golfer in history of Farmington.

 

  • FCHS Lady Golfers went to Metamora for a Team Invitational on Wednesday August 18. This pre-season tournament was loaded with some of the best talented teams and top players around the whole state. Emma Evans finished 12th out of 82 girls. She shot an 82 over 18 holes. Our team shot a 444 overall, with Anna Webel shooting a 114, Izzy Beleotto shooting a 122, and Faith Wheeler with a 126. The FCHS team finished 12th out of 15 teams. Keep working hard ladies. Great job Everyone. 

 

  • Game club will meet after school TODAY in Mr. Paul's room, 643.  Come relax with us as we play board games and card games until 5:30.  

 

  • Carl Sandburg's Dual Credit Orientation will be held TODAY @ 9am in the

High School Auditorium. Those Junior and Senior students who are enrolled for dual credit

classes with Carl Sandburg, please report to the Auditorium with your Chromebook. Megan

Jones will be holding a PowerPoint presentation and verifying student access to their

mySandburg account.

 

  • If you are interested in being an officer for Student Government for FCHS, please check your email for your petition form. Offices open include: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Government is responsible primarily for our Homecoming events. Please complete and return to Mr. Lambert by TOMORROW (Friday, August 20th). 

 

  • Interested in Winterguard, Speech Team, Drama, and Musical? Please check your email and join our Google Classroom. Any questions, see Mr. Lambert.

 

  • Drama students interested in attending Illinois High School Theatre Festival, please pick up information packets TODAY from Mr. Lambert.

  • FCHS proudly presents Homecoming 2021! The theme for this year is “Rollin’ Out the Red Carpet!” Dress up days will be coming soon! Please pay close attention to your emails to receive updates. 

 

  • Parking tags may be purchased from the high school office for $5.00. Some student’s parking fees were paid during registration. Please check with Susan in the office if you believe yours has been paid.  

 

Vehicle Information forms must be completed before receiving your tag. Forms have been sent to your email, and are also available on the table outside the office. Students who have paid their parking fee will receive a yellow parking tag. Students must have their yellow parking tags displayed in the windshield by Wednesday, September 1st or they will receive parking tickets.

 

  • There will be a junior class officer meeting in Mrs. White’s room next Friday, August 27th.
