                                                                Block Schedule - A Day     

  • Maccrae Barnett was selected as May’s Senior of the Month. Maccrae is an avid art lover and has been involved in Art Club for 3 years at Farmington Central. She is a passionate person who provides great insight while also proving to be a deep thinker and responsible student.  She plans to attend Illinois Central College next year where she will major in Graphic Design. Congratulations and good luck in all that you do, Maccrae!  

  • Congratulations to Lacie Staley who was selected as the Freshman of the Month for

May! She is active in FFA and Rodeo. Congratulations, Lacie!

  •  Congratulations to Kyleigh Carpenter who was selected as Sophomore of the Month for

May! She is active in Basketball, Softball, Harvest Team, Key Club, Theater, Band, Chorus, and she is the sophomore class president.  Congratulations, Kyleigh!

  • Congratulations to Aidan Foshay who was selected as Junior of the Month for

May!  Congratulations, Aidan!

  • Mrs. White graduated from Eureka College and is in her 9th year teaching at Farmington Central High School. She is also pursuing a master's degree in professional school counseling at Bradley University. She lives in Peoria with her dogs, Maggie and Mylee; her husband, Matt; and her son, Markus. Her hobbies include gardening, reading, and baking, and she is an avid fan of Dr. Who, Hanson, the Seattle Mariners, and her "little trees." Her favorite thing about teaching at FCHS is getting to know her students and seeing the awesome things they accomplish.

  • Congratulations to Sam Deppermann, who competed last week in the District 3 FFA Job Interview contest virtually through Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois.

Sam received 1st place and will advance to the state competition in June. Great Job Sam!

Tonight, Ashleigh Janssen, Abby Cash, Ashlyn Slayton, Liz Hayden, Ethan Emken,  Sam Deppermann, and Anna Webel will record their submission for the District 3 FFA Parliamentary Procedure contest. Good Luck Parli Team!

  • Farmington FFA competed in the State Livestock Evaluation CDE Non-Reasons Division, 59 schools, 45 teams, and 215 individuals competed.

Farmington ranked 8 out of 45 teams

Individual placing: Anna Webel 7th

Team included Ethan Emken, Laura Stevens, Will Hayden, and Abby Cash. 

 

  • Juniors and Seniors reminder the picnic is Wednesday at 3pm behind the concession stand. Make sure to wear a mask. 

 

  • There will be a Key Club meeting this Wednesday after school at 2:15 pm in the auditorium. If you cannot be there, please let Mrs. Simaytis know.

 

  • Gracelyn Ulm, Addy Neal, and Anna Webel are organizing a 5k run/walk to raise money for a family in our school. This event is open to anyone and we are encouraging everyone who is interested to sign up. You can run the 5k race to compete for prizes. If that’s not your thing but you still want to be involved, sign up for the 1-mile walk! Registration forms have been sent to your email or there are forms outside the office. You may turn in your payment and registration into the high school office. We are excited about an awesome event and we hope to see YOU there!

  • For Erica Riccioni's Spring Harvest Team project she is collecting items for the Fulton County Humane Society. You can donate things like toys, treats, or grooming supplies for both dogs and cats or household items like tape, dry-erase markers, garbage bags, and paper towels. There's a box outside of the office you can put any donations in!
