  • Jaden Van Winkle was selected as April’s Senior of the Month. Jaden excels academically as she is in the top 12% of her class and is the President of our National Honor Society chapter. Along with her studies, Jaden is involved in various extracurricular activities which include: Theatre, Chorus, Newspaper Club, Musical, Dance Team, Chamber Choir, Fellowship of Christain Athletes, Gay Straight Alliance, Harvest Team, and Yearbook.  In addition to her extensive involvement in school, Jaden finds time to give back as she volunteers within the community. She organized a toy drive which also focused on donating baby supplies to assist local families in need. She also planned a sensory adventure for the special education department. She will attend Bradley University in the fall where she will major in Early Childhood Education with an ESL endorsement. Congratulations and good luck in all that you do, Jaden!

  • Congratulations to April Staff Member of the Month - Mrs. Littrel! Mrs. Littrel attended Illinois State University and has been a teacher for over 23 years.  She really enjoys teaching English and working with her APEX students. She is married to Brian Littrel, who teaches 5th grade at FCES, and they have two daughters -Rebecca and Addison.  Mrs. Littrel loves to read, watch her daughters play softball, and is an avid Golden State Warriors fan. Congratulations!

 

  • All juniors will be taking the SAT on Tuesday, April 13th and the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA) on Wednesday, April 14th. Both exams are graduation requirements and all juniors who are in-person and/or remote learning will be required to attend in-person to complete both. Student room assignments and proctors will be shared closer to test time.

 

  • Juniors will need to complete SAT answer sheet prep prior to the test date. Please attend ONE of the following meetings held in room 625 in-person with a pencil.

Meeting 1: Monday, April 5th @1pm

Meeting 2: Wednesday, April 7th @1pm

 

  • Starting today through April 6th, any students who would like a sack lunch after their SAT testing on the 13th will need to sign up. The sign up sheet will be available in the cafeteria. 

 

  • Softball practice will start April 5th at 2:30 at the softball field for anyone going out.  Please turn in your physical if you have not. Thanks! 

 

  • Juniors and Seniors don’t forget to sell Krispy Kreme donuts over the weekend!  Order forms can be found in your email or picked up from Ms. Mendez or the office. Money and orders are due April 5th to Ms. Mendez. 

 

Anyone interested in placing an order they are $9.00/dozen and will be delivered Friday, April 9th.  You may place an order in the high school office.  Thank you for your support of this year’s After Prom!

 

  • Any student interested in track please stop by and see Mr. Whitcomb or Ms.Mendez for a schedule. Practices for any student not currently in a sport will start April 5th. 

 

  • TODAY, Farmington Central Schools will be hosting a jersey and hat day to support St. Jude Research Hospital and The Organization for the Understanding of Congenital Hearts (TOUCH) of Central Illinois. Students and staff must pay $1 at the door to participate. Dress code still applies but come on out and wear your favorite baseball gear to support two great causes.
