Today’s Classroom Shoutout goes to Mr. Wessling!
Mr. Wessling's Room, where Earth Science, Physical Science, and Geometry in Construction takes place.
Earth Science: Last semester we had Farmington alum Dr. John Isbell give a virtual lecture on his research in Antarctica. This semester we have started out with learning about the cosmos and are, at present, discussing the Perseverance mission to Mars.
Physical Science: In physical science, students are testing their egg drop safety harness, trying to protect an egg from a 4 meter fall. For the final project this semester, students will perform their own experiments and present their findings.
Geometry in Construction: Last semester, the class built a large shed for a community member and are currently working on a chicken coop for another community member. After the chicken coop, the plan is to build Mr. McMillin a shed of his own. All students are finishing their own personal projects which range from a hall tree to a home for guinea pigs to a gun rack.
