Bulletin – November 1, 2017                      

  • Jessamy Hintz was selected as November’s Senior of the Month. Jessamy excels academically as she is in the top 5% of her class and is the President of our National Honor Society chapter. Along with her studies, Jessamy is involved in various extracurricular activities which include: cross country, track, band, chorus, jazz band, musical, play, Spanish Club, Student Senate representative, Yearbook, and Drama Club.  In addition to her extensive involvement in school, Jessamy finds time to give back as she volunteers within the community. She worked at WildLife Scary Park, Vacation Bible School, Hanna City Hustle, and placed flags on the graves of Veterans for Memorial Day. She plans on attending college in the fall where she will major in English for Secondary Education or Art Therapy. Congratulations, Jessamy! Please see Mrs. Clope by the end of the day.

  • Exciting News!!  This year during final exams there will be a new lunch option available for Thursday, December 21st.  QDoba will be set up across the street at the Farmington Area Public Library.  Chicken or Ground Beef Nachos will be available for $6.00.  You may add a Sprite or water for an additional dollar.  If you wish to partake in this opportunity, you must pre-order and pay Mrs. Gibbs in the HS office by Monday, November 20th.  You will be given a lunch ticket December 20th to redeem for your lunch.  

  • 5th hour study hall will meet in Mrs. Suter’s room today.

  • Anyone with a relative who is interested in attending the Veterans Day ceremony must RSVP by the end of school on Friday.

  • Drama Club: Please turn in your scripts to Mr. Lambert TODAY.

  • The topic for this week’s Enrichment is TEAMWORK. Make sure you pay attention -- Mrs. Mason will be around to ask questions on Friday. There will be prizes in your future if you have the answers!

  • Game club will meet after school today.

  • Do you want to save a life?  You have that opportunity by participating in the NHS annual fall blood drive which will take place on Wednesday, November 15th.  If you are at least 16 years old and would like to donate, there will be a sign up this week and next during each lunch hour.  Permission slips and class schedules must be returned to Mrs. Clope by Thursday, November 9th.

  • Bah-Humbug! Come join the Art and Drama Club to “A Christmas Carol” Sunday December 17th! The cost is $65 for the trip. Reserve your spot with a $25 down payment to Ms. Simaytis or Mr. Lambert. Seats are limited!

  • Anyone wanting to tryout for dance team, please attend dance clinics on November 8th and 9th from 5:30-7:30.  Pick up a dance packet in the office starting this Wednesday.

  • There will be a prom committee meeting next Tuesday, November 7th in Miss Burdess' room.

  • Seniors, Jostens will be here to take your graduations orders this Friday, November 3rd during lunch hours in the auditorium. Please make sure you turn in your orders at this time. Any senior who missed the graduation meeting, please pick up your packet in the office.

  • HS Cross Country will have a mandatory meeting meeting after school on Friday. Please have uniforms turned in by the end of school Friday.

  • There will be a baseball meeting in the cafeteria this Friday during enrichment.

  • There will be a Chess Team meeting in the main office on Friday during enrichment.  Please bring your dues if you have not already turned them in.

  • All juniors need to report to the auditorium at this time for a mandatory meeting to discuss registration for senior year.
