  • Congratulations to Senior of the month- Anna Webel. Anna is involved in Basketball, Golf, 

Track, National Honor Society, Harvest Team, FFA, and Spanish Club. She enjoys showing and working cattle and participating in livestock judging. She serves at Northwoods Community Church. Anna likes to stay active and has talent in playing instruments. Some of her big accomplishments include placing 9th at Disc at the State track meet and placing 5th overall at the National Western Stock Show Livestock Judging contest in Denver, Colorado. Anna will attend Lake Land College where she will major in Agriculture while participating on the livestock judging team. Congratulations, Anna!

  • Congratulations to Junior of the month- Megan Foust. Megan enjoys spending time with friends and her twin sister, Marlena. She has skills in sign language and hopes to use these skills by double majoring in sign language interpreting and nursing. Megan looks forward to completing the CNA program next school year to get her a step closer to her goal of becoming a nurse. Congratulations, Megan!

  • Congratulations to Sophomore of the month- Isabelle Lynn. Izzy is involved in Volleyball, Dance, and FFA. She is also involved in the Leadership in Diversity program. She enjoys playing club volleyball at Central Illinois Elite. Izzy’s big accomplishment is advancing to districts in her FFA record book her first year. With Izzy’s father active in the Air Force, she had a unique opportunity to meet President Obama. After high school, Izzy plans on attending an in-state university to become an early education teacher and play D1 for volleyball. Congratulations, Izzy!

  • Congratulations to Freshman of the month- Laila Irvin. Laila is involved in Basketball, Cross Country, Track, Key Club, and Science Olympiad. She enjoys softball, reading, journaling, and hanging out with friends. One of her big accomplishments is participating in softball nationals during summer. She is also working towards her Gold Award in Girl Scouts. After high school, Laila plans to master in biochemistry and pre med. Her overall goal is to become a doctor. Congratulations, Laila!

  • Mr. Lambert has taught for over 10 years and is a history teacher at Farmington Central High School. He is also the sponsor for the Harvest Leadership Team, Student Senate, Winter guard, and is the theatre director. He had the honor of representing Farmington as the 2023 Executive Director of Illinois High School Theatre Festival in January and was recently selected as co-Secondary Representative of the Illinois Theatre Association. He enjoys reading new books, traveling to other countries and, of course, Starbucks. He lives in Trivoli with his cat, Hansen. Congratulations Mr. Lambert.

Also on Friday, a table will be set up during lunch for students to have the opportunity to say the respect pledge and sign the banner!

  • Basketball and Cheer Seniors: please take your posters home with you.

  • The Farmington Central Academic Foundation Scholarship is due to Mrs. Haynes on March 2nd by noon. 

  • Prom committee members and junior class officers, please check your email and the Google Classroom page to provide input on this year's prom crowns.

  • This Thursday is donuts and friends for the Key Club meeting. It will be held in the art room at 7:30AM. If you cannot attend, please let Mrs. Simaytis know. 

  • There is an opportunity available for high school students to participate in a field trip to St. Louis on April 6th, 2023, the first day of spring break. Information has been sent to student emails. The trip will include sites such as the St. Louis Zoo, Union Station, and the City Museum. Permission slips are available in the office. Space is limited, and spots will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. In order to reserve your spot on the trip, students must return their permission slip and the $20 cost into the office. 

  • We’re fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance! No joke, Farmington Central High School is hosting a Spring Fling dance on Saturday, April 1st from 7-10PM in the high school gym. 9th-12th grade students are invited to enjoy an evening of fun and 

dancing! This is a semi-formal event. Anyone that wishes to bring a student not enrolled at Farmington needs to complete and return a signed Dance Request Form to the office by 

Friday, March 24th. Admission prices will be $8/person or $15/couple, pay at the door. Any questions please see Josie Gibbs or Mr. Lambert.
