Our current school year calendar has been updated to reflect recent cancellations. Changes are as follows:
School will be in session on the following dates with regular dismissal times-

Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23- HS Exams
Thursday, May 23 will be the last day of attendance for students
Friday, May 24- Teacher Institute Day
Graduation dates have not changed-
High School Graduation- Sunday, May 19
Jr. High Graduation- Wednesday, May 22
Trey Benitez was selected as Farmington Central High School’s Senior of the Month for February. He is the son of Shelly Palley and Fernando Benitez. He has one sister, Chelsea Benitez. Trey is a strong academic student as he is in the top 20 percent of his class and was a candidate for the National Honor Society. He works well with his peers and is compassionate and supportive to those around him. He is a quiet and reserved young man but takes charge confidently. Trey was also a member of the football team his four years at Farmington. He will attend the University of Illinois in the fall where he plans to major in Computer Engineering. Congratulations, Trey!
Tonight's Scholastic Bowl competition at Princeville HS is cancelled.
Tonight's cancelled JH volleyball match vs Chillicothe has been rescheduled for Wed, Feb. 6 at 5pm at Farmington Central JH.
The following activities have been cancelled for Tue, Feb. 5:
HS JV/Var boys basketball vs Knoxville. Rescheduled for Tue, Feb. 12
JH volleyball vs Chillicothe. Rescheduled date pending.
Congratulations to February Staff Member of the Month--Mrs. Simaytis! She is currently in her 2nd year teaching at Farmington and graduated from Western Illinois University and Kewanee High School. She lives in Farmington with her husband Phil and cat, Frida. While she isn't filling Instagram with pictures of her cat, she likes to spend her free time painting, gardening, fishing, and swimming while listening to Led Zeppelin. What she loves most about Farmington is getting to know each kid and just how awesome they are. Congratulations!

Tonight's Prairieland Conf Scholastic Bowl meet at Elmwood HS has been cancelled.
There will be no school on Thursday, January 31st. Please stay safe in these extreme winter conditions!

A rescheduled date for JH VB and 8th boys BB is forthcoming. HS GBB will not be rescheduled.
Due to the rescheduled JV/Varsity girls basketball games with North Fulton on Thur, Jan. 31, the Freshmen girls game vs Metamora is cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
Tonight's Freshmen boys game vs Princeville has been cancelled. It will not be rescheduled.
The JV & Var girls basketball game vs No. Fulton scheduled for Jan. 24 has been rescheduled for Thur, Jan. 31. JV will start at 6pm, followed by the Varsity.
Please note an addition to the FCHS JV & Varsity Boys Basketball schedule. The Farmers will play at Princeville HS on Tue, Jan. 29. The JV will begin at 6pm, followed by the Varsity.
