Kindergarten Registration Information
- Any child who will be 5 years of age on or before September 1st of the upcoming school year, is eligible to start kindergarten.
- If this is your first child entering our school district, we will need proof of residency. Please see the provided list of acceptable items that may be used for establishing student residency. Residency Requirements
- We require one document from Category I and two documents from Category II.
- Proof of Residency will not be needed if you currently have a child attending school in our district.
- Proof of Residency is not required for the Bright Futures program; however, it is a requirement of Farmington CUSD 265.
- A certified birth certificate is required to enroll your child. A certified birth certificate is available from the courthouse or county health department from the county your child was born in. The “keepsake” copy issued by the hospital cannot be used for this purpose.
- To enter kindergarten your child will need the following:
- A physical exam due by the first day of school
- Current immunizations
- An eye exam due by October 15th (MUST be performed by an optometrist and submitted on the State of Illinois Eye Examination Report)
- A dental exam due by October 15th
- Lead Screening
